17018/P0634/001588 - Control Module Overtemperature Condition

Possible Symptoms

  • Power Loss
  • Engine stalls (may not restart)

Possible Causes

  • Engine controller overheating

Possible Solutions

  • If there are no Injector circuit codes, erWin manuals say "replace Engine Controller"

Special Notes

  • This fault code will set when the ECM's Power stage temperature is greater than 150 °C
  • Important: Faults with the Fuel Injectors could cause an overheat condition within the ECM, address any faults first before replacing the ECM.
