Possible Symptoms

  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON

Possible Causes

  • Faulty Coolant Temp Sensor
  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from Instrument Cluster to Engine Control Module (ECM) faulty
  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from Coolant Temp Sensor (G62)

Possible Solutions

  • Check / Replace Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62)
  • Check wiring and connections

Special Notes

  • Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
    • Usually Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) 125+ show the current Communication Status
