18885/P2453/009299 - Diesel Particle Filter Differential Pressure Sensor: Implausible Signal
Possible Symptoms
- Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
Possible Causes
- Fuse(s) faulty
- Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) faulty
- Tubing from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) restricted/clogged
- Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) faulty
Possible Solutions
- Check Fuse(s)
- Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
- Check Tubing from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
- Check/Replace Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
- Check Part Number/Version of Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
- Check Measuring Values
- Check Diesel Particle Filter Ash Volume
- Check Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) Offset Value
Special Notes
- With CBEA and CJAA engines, the factory documentation may show the wrong part location for the Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450). This sensor is in a foil pouch just behind the oil cap.
