C1048/020552 - Sensor for Ride-Height

C1048/020552 - Sensor for Ride-Height: Mechanical Failure

Possible Symptoms

  • Lever Control is de-activated
  • Vehicle is not level

Possible Causes

  • Level control sensor
    • Damaged sensor, linkage or mounting
    • Sensor lever is reversed, must point towards the connector
  • Damaged to the body, suspension
  • Flat tire

Possible Solutions

  • Check sensor(s) (use Advanced Measuring values: IDE02951, IDE02952, IDE02953, IDE02954)
  • Check sensor's mounting, lever, etc.. and correct as needed
  • Check the vehicle's body, suspension, etc.. and correct as needed

Special Notes

  • The fault code C1048 sets when the vehicle's level sensor(s) displays a discrepancy lasting longer than 50 seconds, with a height variation exceeding 15 mm.
