01486 - System Function Test activated
Possible Symptoms
- Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
Possible Causes
- When found in Brake Electronics Control Module (J104)
- Brake Electronics Function Test activated
Possible Solutions
- When found in Brake Electronics Control Module (J104)
- Perform Brake Electronics Function Test
Special Notes
- Might be stored in Combination with B10B3/037043 in Airbag Control Module (J234), if so perform Function Test first.
- If the Brake Electronics Function Test procedure will not complete and fault codes are stored in other Powertrain Databus control modules diagnose those issues before replacing ESP components.
- Refer to the Volkswagen Tech Tip [45-09-05] ONLY if the "Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) function test does not end after several attempts! https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10180603-0001.pdf NHTSA
