* Some Passats (in Europe) model year end 1999/beginning 2000 does have a firmwarebug which causes this dtc. Service documents of those cars does mention to ignore this dtc.
* Some B5/3B Chassis Passats around model year 2000 have a firmware bug which causes this DTC in the 19-CAN Gateway module. Service documents for of those cars indicate that this DTC should be ignored in that module.
