Special Notes

• dtc 01044 can show up in any Control Module in your car when that Module has a wrong software code. Write down that software code and check/improve it with the help of http://de.openobd.org/ or http://en.openobd.org/
• Some Passats (in Europe) model year end 1999/beginning 2000 does have a firmwarebug which causes this dtc. Service documents of those cars does mention to ignore this dtc.
