16509/P0125 - Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control

Possible Symptoms

  • Unknown

Possible Causes

  • Insufficient warm up time of the engine
  • Engine coolant level to low
  • Thermostat leaking or stuck
  • Malfunctioning Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor

Possible Solutions

  • Check coolant level
  • Check specifications of ECT sensor
  • Check thermostat

Special Notes

  • Indicates that the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor has not achieved the required temperature level to enter closed loop operating conditions within a specified amount of time after starting engine.
