Note: When replacing this Control Module you do need to perform the Basic Settings (MVB 010 & 020) first. This sets a Readiness Bit for each of the Basic Settings, the Coding will not be accepted without this!

- 01 = 2.0l TDI (Diesel)
- 03 = 3.0l TDI (Diesel)
- 05 = 2.7l TDI (Diesel)
- 10 = 2.0l TFSI (Gasoline)
- 20 = 2.4l MPI (Gasoline)
- 30 = 2.8l FSI (Gasoline)
- 40 = 3.0l MPI (Gasoline)
- 50 = 3.2l FSI (Gasoline)
- 60 = 4.2l MPI (Gasoline)
- 70 = 4.2l FSI (Gasoline)
- 000xx?x: Transmission
- 1 = Manual Transmission
- 2 = Automatic Transmission (09L/09E)
- 3 = Multitronic (01J)
- 000xxx?: Country
- 1 = Rest of World (RoW)
- 2 = USA/Canada
- 3 = Japan
Basic Setting
Open Rear Parking Brake
Cycle the Parking Brake ON, then OFF first.

[Go!]
The brake calipers will then open, allowing the pads to be changed.
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
It is normal for the LED in the parking brake switch and the warning lamp in the instrument cluster to blink rapidly at this point.
Close Rear Parking Brake
[Select]

The brake calipers will then close.
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
The LED in the parking brake switch and the warning lamp in the instrument cluster will probably continue to blink rapidly. This should stop after cycling the Parking Brake ON, then OFF again.

Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
The brake pads will then now opening and close 3 times, make sure the parking brake is opened before performing this basic setting.

Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
Make sure to have the car on an even surface and do not move/rock it.
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
