Steering Column Control Module

There are different types of steering column control modules, the type is depending on several individual options so we have compiled a list of available part numbers for you. If a part number is not listed, registered VCDS users may contact us to ask for help with this topic.

Installation & Wiring

In general the whole retrofit is just plug and play except that one wire may need to be added.

  • Wire T20d/13 from steering column control module to engine control module (see wiring diagram specific your particular car/engine).
  • Install Cruise Control capable Lever (see Parts Catalog/Repair Manual for details).

Activating Cruise Control

  • Change Steering Column Control Module Coding.
  • Activate Cruise Control in the Engine Control Module.
    • See Engine specific Diagnostic Procedures. As a Rule of Thumb, if the Engine Control Module uses a Short Coding the Activation is being done using Coding-II. If the Engine Control Module uses a Long Coding the Activation is done in (Long) Coding itself. Please also note that there are different Coding Variants for Long Coding. If VCDS does not provide you with Coding Details/Suggestions please contact us to ask for help with this topic.
