01128 - Immobilizer Pickup Coil (D2)

Possible Symptoms

  • Immobilizer light flashing
  • Engine shuts off

Possible Causes

  • Wiring harness issue
  • Defective Immobilizer Reader Coil
  • Defective Immobilzier Control Module

Possible Solutions

  • Inspect wiring between Immobilizer Control Module and the D2 Reader Coil
  • Ohm test the D2 Reader Coil.
    • Immobilizer 2 and 3 systems should read about 23.5 ohms.
