From Ross-Tech Wiki
01583 - Leak in System Detected
Possible Symptoms
- Vehicle is Not Level
- Level Control System Warning Message
- Level Control System is not operational (Air-Compressor does not operate)
Possible Causes
- Air leak in system
- Level Control System Air-Compressor is Not functioning (pressure is 0.00 bar)
- Faulty Air-Compressor, fuse, relay, wiring, etc
Possible Solutions
- Inspect for leaks and repair as needed.
- Correct, repair or replace as needed faulty fuse(s), relay, wiring and/or Air-Compressor.
- Damaged (blown) fuse for the Air-Compressor could indicate the Air-Compressor is faulty and was drawing too much current.
- Verify the Air-Compressor relay has not been damaged/overheated due to excessive current (replace/repair as needed).
Additional Notes
- Fault code 01583 may set when the Level Control System has Not detected any change in Air Pressure (0.00 bar) when the Compressor is activated.
- Fault may return immediately when cleared
- Level Control System Air-Compressor may not operate after repairs, until the fault codes have been cleared in the Level Control controller (J197).
- Once the fault code has cleared and the system is functioning correctly, the vehicle should level itself automatically. If needed, use the instructions found on this Ross-Tech forum post to raise/lower the vehicle. https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/1996/
