C1046/020550 - Ride-Height System; Plausibility Error

Possible Symptoms

  • Lever Control dash warning
  • Ride height drops or does not respond

Possible Causes

  • Air Leak (Air struts, lines, fittings, etc.)
  • Weak compressor (not enough air pressure)
  • Valve Block (water damage, stuck valves, etc.)
  • Level Sensors (loose, installed backwards, etc.)

Possible Solutions

  • Check for and repair as needed any Air Leaks
  • Verify compressor operation with Output Tests
  • Verify Valve Block solenoids operation with Output Tests
  • Check Level Sensor plausibility using Measuring Values

Special Notes

  • The fault code C1046 will set if the Level Control module detects instances of uncontrolled height changes (such as due to leakage) or when the height remains unchanged despite a control request.
