00515 - Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40)

00515 - Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40): No Signal

Possible Causes

  • Wiring to Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40) faulty
  • Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check Wiring to Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40)
  • Check/Replace Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40)
  • Check/Replace Engine Control Module

Special Notes

  • Some older engines store this code as long as the engine is not running, if in doubt read fault codes with the engine running again.

00515 - Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40): Open or Short to B+

Possible Causes

  • Wiring to Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40) faulty
  • Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check Wiring to Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40)
  • Check/Replace Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40)
  • Check/Replace Engine Control Module
