00898 - Control Circuit A/C Compressor: Open or Short to Plus

Possible Symptoms

  • Climate Control not working

Possible Causes

  • Fuse(s) faulty
  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Compressor Regulating Valve (N280) faulty
  • Compressor Regulating Valve (N280) faulty
  • Heating/Climate Control Module (J301) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check Fuse(s)
  • Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Compressor Regulating Valve (N280)
  • Check/Replace Compressor Regulating Valve (N280)
    • Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
    • Perform Output Test
  • Check/Replace Heating/Climate Control Module (J301)

Special Notes

  • The Compressor Regulating Valve (N280) may not be available separately, in this case the entire Refrigerant Compressor needs to be replaced.
