01324 - Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492): No Communications

Possible Symptoms

  • Driveablity issues
  • Warning lights in instrument cluster.

Possible Causes

  • Control Module for All Wheel Drive (J492) is faulty
  • Electrical path issue
    • Wiring harness, ground points, fuses
  • Incorrect coding of ABS module

Possible Solutions

  • Fixing Stuff

Special Notes

  • When found in an Audi A6 Allroad (4B) with the Bosch 5.3 ABS/EDS/ASR/ESP system, then the soft coding of the ABS may be incorrect.
    • Many Audi A6 Allroads do not have "Manual with Low Range (only Audi A6 Allroad)". Try coding the ABS module as "Manual".
