01494 - Bulb for Parking Lamps; Left (M1)

01494 - Bulb for Parking Lamps; Left (M1): Short to Ground

01494 - Bulb for Parking Lamps; Left (M1): Open or Short to Plus

01494 - Bulb for Parking Lamps; Left (M1): Open Circuit

Possible Symptoms

  • M1 light does not illuminate

Possible Causes

  • Blown fuse
  • Failed or incorrect turn signal bulb installed
  • Wiring harness issue

Possible Solutions

  • Verify fuses are good
  • Verify correct light bulbs are installed
  • Test wiring harness, see factory repair manual

Special Notes

  • When found on Touareg (7L):
    • If DTC 00967 is also stored, check fuses and wiring to J519 first.
  • When found in an Audi A8 D3 (4E):
    • A customer reports there are Sylvania 2827 Halogen bulbs (WY5W) inside the front headlights which are illuminated when the parking lights are on.
