Possible Symptoms

  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON

Possible Causes

  • When found in VW Passat (3C):
    • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Button for Electro Mechanical Parking Brake (E538) faulty
    • Button for Electro Mechanical Parking Brake (E538) jammed/faulty

Possible Solutions

  • When found in VW Passat (3C):
    • Check Meas. Value Block (MVB) 007.1
    • Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Button for Electro Mechanical Parking Brake (E538)
    • Check/Replace Button for Electro Mechanical Parking Brake (E538)
