18885/P2453/009299 - Diesel Particle Filter Differential Pressure Sensor: Implausible Signal

Possible Symptoms

  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON

Possible Causes

  • Fuse(s) faulty
  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) faulty
  • Tubing from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) restricted/clogged
  • Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check Fuse(s)
  • Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
  • Check Tubing from/to Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
  • Check/Replace Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
    • Check Part Number/Version of Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
    • Check Measuring Values
      • Check Diesel Particle Filter Ash Volume
      • Check Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450) Offset Value

Special Notes

  • With CBEA and CJAA engines, the factory documentation may show the wrong part location for the Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450). This sensor is in a foil pouch just behind the oil cap.
