Coding

  • 0?xxxxx : 'Antenna Specification
    • 4 = 2 Antennas, 433 MHz (PR Code 7K7)
    • 5 = 2 Antennas, 315 MHz (PR Code 7K8)
  • 0x?xxxx : 'Country Specification
    • 2 = Rest of World, Extra Load
    • 6 = USA, Extra Load
  • 0xx?xxx : 'Front Axle Specified Tire Pressure in whole bar
    • 2 = 2.x bar (1 bar = 14.7 psi)
  • 0xxx?xx : 'Front Axle Specified Tire Pressure in 1/10 bar
    • 4 = x.4 bar (0.1 bar = 1.47 psi)
  • 0xxxx?x : 'Rear Axle Specified Tire Pressure in whole bar
    • 2 = 2.x bar (1 bar = 14.7 psi)
  • 0xxxxx? : 'Rear Axle Specified Tire Pressure in 1/10 bar
    • 6 = x.6 bar (0.1 bar = 1.47 psi)

Example: 0462426

  • 4 = 433 Mhz
  • 6 = USA
  • 2 = 2.x bar
  • 4 = x.4 bar, so minimum pressure for front axle is 2.4 bar or ~35.5 psi
  • 2 = 2.x bar
  • 6 = x.6 bar, so minimum pressure for rear axle is 2.6 bar or ~38.5 psi

Special Procedures

Adapting TPMS Sensors to System

To adapt new sensors, for example after changing wheels, first ensure that pressures are adequate. Then recode the TPMS. It's probably OK just to put the same coding value that's already there back in, but if in doubt, raise or lower the specified pressures a bit, then restore them to stock. After the module has been recoded, the car must be driven for a minimum of 10 minutes at a speed over 40 km/h (25 mph). Avoid stop-and-go driving.
