Trailer Control Module

NOTE: This part varies depending on the type of the trailer control module. There are 2 variants available, those which are diagnostic capable and those who are not

Variant #1: Trailer Control Module (#69) NOT diagnostic capable

Nothing to do here, so leave it alone.

Variant #2: Trailer Control Module (#69) diagnostic capable

This control module requires a coding, see VAG-COM coding help or vehicle specific diagnostic procedures for details.

Trailer Stabilization

NOTE: Activating this feature is only permitted for cars that come with a trailer hitch as factory installed equipment or where the retrofitted trailer hitch is similar to the factory installed one, additionally there are legal limitations for USA, Canada and Australia which do not permit the activation of this feature. Make sure the vehicle has been produced after 06/06/2005 (MY 2006+), earlier models may not support this feature - same applies for newer ones where you get an error when accessing the adaptation channel in question.
