* When [[02895]] or [[02897]] are found after collision damage verify the new headlight is not missing components. The vast majority of new headlights are sold without the DRL and Parking Light control module.

* When found in MLB based models such as the facelift (i.e. B8.5) 8R/FP chassis Q5 that use [[Xenon Basic Settings in BCM1/09-Cent. Elect. (J519) controller]] type headlight system the "LED with heat sink" may be sold separately from the headlight with PR-Code combinations 8BP,8EH+8Q3 and 8BP,8EH+8Q5. In those cases the DRL control module still needs to be ruled out but the entire headlight may not need to be replaced if the LED has failed.
