* Mechanical Timing not correct, including Chain and/or Belt timing.&lt;br /&gt;
* Possible oil sludge and/or oil pressure/flow concerns&lt;br /&gt;

* The P0021 fault code sets when:&lt;br /&gt;
**  The deviation between the target and actual positions exceeds 3.0° CRK for 1.5 to 2.0 seconds, the adjustment angle is ≤ 3.0° CRK, and the check is performed three times.&lt;br /&gt;
** Time after engine start: &amp;gt; 3.5 – 10.0 s&lt;br /&gt;
** Modeled oil temperature: -10 – 114°C&lt;br /&gt;
** Engine speed: 480 – 10,240 RPM&lt;br /&gt;
** Camshaft position adjustment: active&lt;br /&gt;
** Catalyst heating: not active&lt;br /&gt;
** Change of target position: &amp;gt; 10.0° CRK&lt;br /&gt;
