01407 - Flame Extinguished

Possible Symptoms

  • Auxiliary/Parking Heater not working
  • Auxiliary/Parking Heater smokes

Possible Causes

  • Air/Bubbles in Fuel System/Supply (possibly due to low Fuel Level)
  • Fuel System/Supply faulty/leaking
  • Metering Pump (V54) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check/Repair Fuel System/Supply
  • Test/Run Auxiliary/Parking Heater
    • Perform Output Test/Basic Setting
  • Check/Replace Metering Pump (V54)

Special Notes

  • Make sure the Car has only been driven with the correct Fuel (for example Bio Diesel may not be permitted).
