17658/P1250 - Fuel Level too Low
Possible Symptoms
- Engine difficult to start
Possible Causes
- Low fuel
- Malfunction in fuel level sender(s)
Possible Solutions
- Verify fuel level and add fuel as necessary
- If the fuel gauge does not reflect the true fuel level, check and repair fuel level sender(s)
Special Notes
- On some vehicles, this fault may persist even after fuel is added. A test drive of 16 km / 10 mi may be required in order to clear the fault. Ref: Volkswagen CTT 20-16-02, also Ross-Tech case study.
