02845 - Function Display in Instrument Cluster (!): Short to Ground
Possible Symptoms
- Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
- Red Brake light or Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake (EPB) light ON
- Auto-Hold function in Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake (EPB) disabled
Possible Causes
- When found in the Electro-Mechanical Parking Brake (EPB) control module this may be caused to a software problem as noted below.
Possible Solutions
- When found in the [53] - Parking Brake control module on the VW Tiguan :
- NAR (North America Region) vehicles refer to TSB 46-09-03 -or- TPI 2021855
- RoW (Rest of World) vehicles refer to TPI 2021008
- When found in the [53] - Parking Brake control module on the VW Passat or VW Passat CC RoW (Rest of World) vehicles would refer to TPI 2021874 )or 2021008)
