P2681 - Control Circuit for Coolant Bypass Valve: Open Circuit
Possible Symptoms
- MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) ON
- Engine may take longer to reach operating temperature
- DTC stored in ECM
Possible Causes
- Open circuit in wiring to Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N82-
- Faulty Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N82-
- Faulty Engine Temperature Control Module -GX33-
- Poor electrical connections (corroded, damaged, or loose pins)
Possible Solutions
- Check wiring and connectors to Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N82-
- Check the Engine Temperature Control Module -GX33-
- Repair or replace damaged wiring/connectors as necessary
