00885 - Ignition Switch (D) Terminal 50 : Electrical Fault in Circuit
Possible Symptoms
- Vehicle's starter (terminal 50) will not activate
Possible Causes
- Faulty Fuse
- Defective Ignition Switch (Electrical Portion)
- Wiring harness issue
- Damaged bent pins
- Connector corrosion
Possible Solutions
- Check fuses
- Replace the Ignition Switch (Electrical Portion).
- Repair damaged wiring harness.
- Repair/Replace faulty contacts
Special Notes
- Check Measuring Value Blocks in the J527-Steering Column Electronic Control Module for proper switch operation
- Often times this is found with the one or more of the following codes:
