00493 - ESP-Sensor Unit (G419): Implausible Signal

Possible Symptoms

  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) active

Possible Causes

  • Steering Angle Sensor (G85) not properly learned
  • Wiring/Connectors from Brake Electronics (J104) to ESP-Sensor Unit (G419) faulty
  • ESP-Sensor Unit (G419) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Adapt Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
  • Check Wiring/Connectors from Brake Electronics (J104) to ESP-Sensor Unit (G419)
    • Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
  • Replace ESP-Sensor Unit (G419)

Special Notes

  • The ESP-Sensor Unit (G419) contains several individual Sensors like the Rotation Rate and/or Transverse Acceleration Sensor.
