B1015 - Igniter for Battery Interrupt: Resistance Too High

Possible Symptoms

  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON

Possible Causes

  • Fuse(s) faulty
  • Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Igniter for Battery Interrupt (N253) faulty
  • Igniter for Battery Interrupt (N253) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check Fuse(s)
  • Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Igniter for Battery Interrupt (N253)
  • Check/Replace Igniter for Battery Interrupt (N253)
    • Check Measuring Values

Special Notes

  • Modern Vehicles do have a Relay or Pyrotechnic Fuse which disconnects the Battery Power Supply in case of an Accident.
