B107B - Rear Parking Aid Sensor(s): Open Circuit
Possible Symptoms
- Parking Aid inoperable
Possible Causes
- Wiring problem
- Faulty Parking Aid sensor taking down the entire circuit
Possible Solutions
- Check the wiring and any connectors or splice points using Factory Repair Information
- Check the Parking Aid sensors for signs of damage or incorrect replacement parts
General Notes
- Most modern Parking Aid systems use a single power wire -and- a single ground to ALL of the front or rear sensors. In those cases each sensor only has a single signal wire back to the control module. For that reason it is very uncommon to have a sensor specific fault code when a single sensor or the wiring fails. If there is a problem with a sensor you should be able to unplug it to verify that the fault code changed and that the supply power and ground was restored to the other sensors in the circuit.
Special Notes
