C1046/020550 - Ride-Height System; Plausibility Error
Possible Symptoms
- Lever Control dash warning
- Ride height drops or does not respond
Possible Causes
- Air Leak (Air struts, lines, fittings, etc.)
- Weak compressor (not enough air pressure)
- Valve Block (water damage, stuck valves, etc.)
- Level Sensors (loose, installed backwards, etc.)
Possible Solutions
- Check for and repair as needed any Air Leaks
- Verify compressor operation with Output Tests
- Verify Valve Block solenoids operation with Output Tests
- Check Level Sensor plausibility using Measuring Values
Special Notes
- The fault code C1046 will set if the Level Control module detects instances of uncontrolled height changes (such as due to leakage) or when the height remains unchanged despite a control request.
