C10E2 01 - Control Module for Electronic Parking Brake: Electrical Failure

Possible Symptoms

  • Flashing LED on Parking Brake Switch
  • Parking Brake warning message in instrument cluster
  • Parking Brake fails to operate

Possible Causes

  • Faulty Wiring or Connections
  • Faulty Automatic parking brake Motor
  • Low battery voltage (may cause component damage)

Possible Solutions

  • Check/repair electrical wiring or connections
  • Replace faulty Automatic parking brake Motor

Special Notes

  • When found with the "Extended UDS fault details" [Steuergerät EPB - H-Brückenfehler] / [EPB Control Module - H-Bridge Error] see post #52 in this thread
