Possible Symptoms

  • Engine coolant temperature is outside controlled range
  • Power Loss
  • Reduced vehicle speed

Possible Causes

  • Rotary Coolant Valve (RCV) malfunction
  • Faulty N493 - Engine Temperature Control Actuator
    • Faulty wiring/connectors
  • Faulty water pump
    • Cooling system compromised

Possible Solutions

  • Check/replace as needed N493 - Engine Temperature Control Actuator
    • Check/repair wiring, connections for the N493
  • Check/replace water pump
  • Check coolant system for leaks
