01794 - Control Module: Incorrect Chassis (VIN) Number
Possible Causes
- Control Module was never adapted to a Car (New Control Module)
- Control Module was originally adapted to a different Car (Used Control Module)
Possible Solutions
- Check Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of Control Module and Car
- Perform Vehicle Data Learning
Special Notes
- When found in Audi A4/S4/RS4 (8K): Audi A4 (8K) Brake Electronics, perform Security Access then Coding. Recode the Control Module using the already stored Coding Value. This will trigger a new Learning Process and the Control Module should update the stored Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
- When found in Audi A4/S4/RS4/Cabriolet (8E/8H): Heating/Air Conditioning, perform Vehicle Data Learning (Adaptation).
