18109/P1701/005889 - Transmission Control Unit: Locked

Possible Symptoms

  • Transmission will not shift properly.

Possible Causes

  • Component Protection active due to module replacement.

Possible Solutions

  • If Component Protection is active due to module replacement, this will need to be resolved at the Audi dealer using Software Version Management. SVM is a system used by VW/Audi to update control modules and in certain cases, to change their Coding or Adapt serial numbers for anti theft systems.
