Coding
Adaptation
Channel 000: Reset Adaptation Channels
Reset all adaptation channels back to the original factory values.
Channel 001: Coming-Home Time
Time which the Coming-Home function will be active.
- Range: 10...60 Seconds
- Resolution: 10 Seconds
- Note: Only active if Byte 00 Bit 7 of Long Coding active.
Channel 002: Leaving-Home Time
Time which the Leaving-Home function will be active.
- Range: 10...60 Seconds
- Resolution: 10 Seconds
- Note: Only active if Byte 00 Bit 5 of Long Coding active.
Channel 003: Rear Window & Outside Mirror Heater Activation Time
Time which the Rear Window and Outside Mirror Heater will be active.
- Range: 1...254 Minutes
- Resolution: 1 Minute
Channel 004: Headlight Washer Activation Time
Time which the Headlight Washers will be active.
- Range: 50...10000 ms
- Resolution: 50 ms (Adaptation Value * Resolution = Actual Value)
- Note: Only active if Byte 01 Bit 1 of Long Coding active.
Channel 005: Footwell Lighting Dimming
- Range: 20...100 %
- Resolution: 1 %
- Note: Only active if Byte 00 Bit 1 of Long Coding active.
Channel 006: Load Management
- Range: 0...3
- Note: Only active if Byte 02 Bit 3 of Long Coding active.
Channel 007: Highbeam with Assistance Driving Light
- 0 = inactive
- 1 = active
Channel 008: Assistance Driving Light Activation/Deactivation Delay
- Range: 0...10200 ms
- Resolution: 40 ms
Replacement
- Run and save a complete Auto-Scan and save it prior to module removal. See the Online Manual Auto-Scan.
- Code the new module with the Coding from the original module found in the Auto-Scan.
- Clear fault codes and verify all functions are working as per design.
Note, If the replacement module uses a longer coding length you cannot copy and paste the original coding directly into the replacement module. This example is from a 2006 Passat:
Original module
Address 09: Cent. Elect. Labels: 3C0-937-049-23-H.lbl Part No SW: 3C0 937 049 Q HW: 3C0 937 049 Q Component: Bordnetz-SG H46 1501 Coding: 14848F0340041A00470A00000F00000000285D435C0000
Replacement Module
Address 09: Cent. Elect. Labels:. 3C0-937-049-30-H.lbl Part No SW: 3C8 937 049 AC HW: 3C8 937 049 AC Component: Bordnetz-SG H64 3205 Coding: 008C0F000004100040000000000000000000FF0F5C004800000000000000
In that example, you would use the original coding and add 14 zeros to the end. That will convert the original 23 Byte (46 digit) to the new 30 Byte (60 digit) coding format needed for the replacement module.

The last coding string in the above example would be accepted by the 3C8 937 049 AC module.
