16720/P0336/000822 - Crankshaft Position Sensor (G28): Missing Tooth
Special Notes
- When found in the 2005-2008 (4F) Chassis Audi A6 3.2L BKH engine controller:
- Make sure the G28 wires from the sensor to the Engine controller are correctly wired per the wiring diagram.
- Reverse polarity (swapped wires) will cause this DTC in that particular car.
- The G28 testing procedure in the factory level repair manual is either incorrect -or- not applicable to ALL 3.2L BKH engine controllers.
- The lack of 12V (Battery voltage) does not indicate a faulty module. Live testing revealed roughly 2.5V on each wire in a fully functional 2006 3.2L A6.
- Make sure the G28 wires from the sensor to the Engine controller are correctly wired per the wiring diagram.
