01196 - Engine-Transmission Data Bus: No Signal/Communication

Possible Symptoms

  • Reduced Functionality
  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) active

Possible Causes

  • Control Module incorrectly coded
  • Communication problem due to power supply, ground or communication wiring present
  • Low Voltage

Possible Solutions

  • Check coding of Powertrain Bus modules
  • Check wiring, fuses and grounds to / from module(s)
  • Check charging system and battery
