02084 - Component Protection: No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation

Possible Symptoms

  • Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
  • Function Limitation

  • Component Protection active

  • Learn/Disable Component Protection

Special Notes

  • At the present time the Component Protection can only be learned/disabled using the Factory Tool in Combination with an online Connection. Every Audi Dealer/Service should be able to perform this Procedure.
  • When found in Address [4F] - Central Electronics II in the 2005-2006 (4F) Audi A6 and 2007 (4L) Q7 models from the NAR (North American Region) market check TSB 97-09-01 or TPI 2020254/1.
