01494 - Bulb for Parking Lamps; Left (M1): Short to Ground

Possible Symptoms

  • Turn signal indicator flashes rapidly

Possible Causes

  • Blown fuse
  • Failed or incorrect turn signal bulb installed
  • Wiring harness issue

Possible Solutions

  • Verify fuses are good
  • Verify correct light bulbs are installed
  • Test wiring harness, see factory repair manual

Special Notes

  • When found on Touareg (7L):
    • If DTC 00967 is also stored, check fuses first.
