Possible Causes
- Refrigerant Loss Signal due to Leak or Sensor Failure
- Refrigerant Temperature Sensor (G454) Faulty or Removed
- Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Module
- Heating/Air Conditioning Control Module Coding Incorrect
Possible Solutions
- Check Refrigerant Level and Sensor(s)
- Remove/Disable Refrigerant Temperature Sensor (G454) per TSB/TPI (See Special Notes below)
- Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
- Check Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Module
- Check Heating/Air Conditioning Module Coding
Special Notes
- When found in VW Transporter (7H/7J) - Heating/Air Conditioning, check Coding as per TPI 2012743.
- When found in the VW Touareg (7L) - Heating/Air Conditioning, check Coding as per TSB 87-07-15 or 2015947.
