00266 - Solenoid Valve 5 (N92): Open or Short to Ground

Possible Causes

  • Wiring/Connectors from/to Solenoid Valve 5 (N92) Open or Short to Ground
  • Solenoid Valve 5 (N92) faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check/Repair Wiring/Connectors from/to Solenoid Valve 5 (N92)
  • Check/Replace Solenoid Valve 5 (N92)
    • See Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
    • Perform Output Test

Special Notes

  • In some vehicles, (N92) may be refereed to as (N216) in the factory repair manual.
  • When found in the following 6-Speed Automatic Transmission (09G) equipped NAR (North American Market) vehicles, perhaps in conjunction with P0798, a flash update may be required:
    • 2012 2.5L VW Jetta Sedan, JSW (Jetta Sportwagon), Golf, Beetle and Passat
    • 2012 VW CC 3.6L
    • 2012 VW Tiguan 2.0T
