02214 - Tire Pressure Warning: Defective
Possible Symptoms
- Tire Pressure Monitoring not working
Possible Solutions
- Reset Tire Pressure Monitoring
Special Notes
- When found in Seat Exeo (3R): Tire Pressure Monitoring II, perform System Reset.
- Press/Hold the Tire Pressure Monitoring Button (E226) for at least 5 Seconds to Reset the Calibration.
- Clear/check Fault Codes.
- Switch the Ignition OFF.
- Check/correct the Tire Pressure.
- Switch the Ignition ON.
- Press/Hold the Tire Pressure Monitoring Button (E226) for at least 5 Seconds to Reset the Calibration again until the Tire Pressure Monitoring Lamp in the Instrument Cluster briefly lights up.
- When found in VW Golf (1K) or similar: Brake Electronics (MK60), perform System Reset
- When found in VW Golf (1K) or similar: Brake Electronics (MK70), perform System Reset
- When found in VW Passat (3C): Brake Electronics, perform System Reset
- When found in 2014-2015 Golf Mk6 based vehicles with MK60EC1 ABS check applicable TSBs and recalls. The following part numbers are noted for setting this DTC prior to the dealer level software updates:
- 1K0 907 379 BM with problematic software level 0163 and 0164
- 1K0 907 379 BS with problematic software level 0165
- NAR (North American Region) Market Jetta, Beetle and Beetle Convertible see the 45D7 recall
- RoW (Rest of World) market Jetta and Beetle see TPI: 2037662 (or 2038535)
