Coding

Most repair manual sources do not cover this Bosch 8.0 ABS system. When the module is replaced with new it is advised to use the original coding value from the old unit. If this is not possible, registered users can contact us directly with a complete Auto Scan and VIN number.

Minor modifications for retrofitting purposes include:

  • +0016384 = Trailer Hitch not installed or w/o Control Module for Trailer/Towing Sensor (J345)


Basic Setting

Steering Angle Sensor (G85) Calibration

[Select]
[03 - ABS Brakes]

Turn steering wheel at least 30 ° left and back straight ahead.

[Security Access - 16]
Enter 40168
[Do It!]

[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 001
[Go!]
Activate the Basic Setting.
[ON/OFF/Next]
After a successful basic setting, field 3 should say "OK".
[Done, Go Back]

[Fault Codes - 02]
All fault codes should have disappeared.
[Done, Go Back]

[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
